Riley Madden

ATTORNEY

Riley was born in Aurora, Nebraska and had the good sense to move to Colorado when he was 2 years old.   He graduated from Drake University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2000. Riley received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law in 2004.  He was admitted to the Colorado Bar in October 2004. He is a member of the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations, and is active in the Family Law Section and Young Lawyer’s Division. Riley is a member of the Faculty of Federal Advocates and is a graduate of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy.

Riley’s practice concentrates on litigation, with an emphasis on family law matters, which encompasses dissolution of marriage and legal separation; division of property and debt; maintenance and attorney’s fees; as well as child related matters, including decision-making authority, parenting time and child support.   

Riley is honored to have been selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers – Rising Stars Edition 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. This honor is bestowed on less than 2.5% of lawyers in the State of Colorado. Riley was recently recognized in Best Lawyers in America for the first time in 2019. Riley and his wife, Jennifer, spend their weekends traveling throughout the Denver metropolitan area attending soccer matches and ballet recitals for their two daughters, Ava and Madeliene. When not cheering on his daughters, Riley enjoys traveling, cycling, fly-fishing, and skiing.
