Elissa Roberts

Attorney Elissa J. Roberts is originally from Maine, and left after graduating from high school to pursue her undergraduate degree from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL. After spending a year in Florida, Elissa transferred to the University of Maryland University College in Schwaebisch Gmuend, Germany, where she finished her undergraduate career and obtained a degree in International Relations. She spent this time traveling as much as possible to witness the world first-hand. After graduation, she went back to Germany and engaged in a Goethe Institut program in Duesseldorf, Germany before returning to the United States.

She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Maine School of Law in 2008. Elissa spent her last semester of law school studying at the National University of Ireland, Galway. This time in Ireland inspired her to spend the year after law school at the Irish Centre for Human Rights, which was associated with the National University of Ireland, Galway. She received an LLM in International Human Rights Law from the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2009. After graduation, Elissa spent two years working alongside the United States military in Kuwait. Elissa became licensed to practice law in Maine in 2012 and Colorado in 2013. After this time she returned to the United States to raise her son, spending nearly two years in Colorado before returning to Maine. In Maine she practiced family law for four years before returning to Colorado in 2018, where she has continued to practice family law.

In her spare time Elissa enjoys spending time with her fiancé and her son, exploring Colorado and fishing throughout every season. She hesitates to share that she thoroughly enjoys watching all New England sports teams as well!
